
Bread Machine Honey Oatmeal Bread
Ingredients
- 1-1/4 cups room temp water
- 1/2 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 cup quick-cooking oats
- 1-1/2 teaspoons salt
- 3 cups plus 2 tablespoons bread flour
- 2-1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
Instructions
- In bread machine pan, place all ingredients in order suggested by manufacturer.
- Select 1 1/2 lb loaf.
- Bake according to bread machine directions (check dough after 5 minutes; add 1 to 2 tablespoons of water or flour if needed).
Notes
Can be made on dough setting and then turn out onto a floured board. kneed 10 times and form into a loaf, put into greased/floured pan, cover, let rise until above pan, bake 350 degrees for 25 to 30 mins.

Amish Cinnamon Bread
Ingredients
- 1 cup butter softened
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups buttermilk or homemade buttermilk--- 2 cups milk plus 2 tablespoons vinegar or
- lemon juice
- 4 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- Cinnamon/sugar mixture:
- 2/3 cups sugar
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
Instructions
- Cream together butter, 2 cups of sugar, and eggs. Add milk, flour, and baking soda. Put 1/2 of batter (or a little less) into greased loaf pans (1/4 in each pan). Mix in separate bowl the 2/3 c sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle 3/4 of cinnamon mixture on top of the 1/2 batter in each pan.
- Add remaining batter to pans; sprinkle with last of cinnamon topping. Swirl with a knife. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 min. or until toothpick tester come clean. Cool in pan for 20 minutes before removing from pan.
- Makes 2 loaves

Basic Round Bread
Ingredients
- 3 Cups Reg. Flour
- 1 teaspoon Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 Tablespoon Yeast
Instructions
- Mix together - Add 1 1/2 cups warm (120 degree) water
- Mix until it comes together, cover and let stand 30 mins
- Turn out onto a floured board. Fold over ten or twelve times - form a disk
- Place on a parchment paper inside a bowl and cover for 3 mins
- While bread is rising, preheat oven and pan at 400 for thirty mins
- Take parchment with bread and slid onto pan, bake 30 mins.
